Race date: 10am Saturday 7 June 2025.
Check in: 4 - 7pm Friday 6 June or 8-9am Saturday 7 June at the Two Mile Bay Sailing Club.
Start and finish line: Two Mile Bay Sailing Club, 331 Lake Terrace, Taupō.
Entrants will start in waves, with solo runners starting first, followed by team runners, solo walkers, and finally team walkers.
the course
Starting out at the Two Mile Bay Sailing Club, athletes will head ~3.7km north toward town on the Great Lake Pathway.
At the turnaround point - beside Te Ātea Tapuaeharuru - athletes will return back to the Two Mile Bay Sailing Club to complete one lap. A lap is approx. 7.3km.
The Pathway itself is concrete, and mostly flat with a few gentle slopes.
The car park area out the front of the Sailing Club will act as both a fan zone and a transition area for those competing as a team relay. Aid stations will be provided aside the transition area and at the halfway turnaround point.

Early bird rate applies until 11:59pm 30 April 2025. Online entries close at 5pm Thursday 5 June 2025 but will be available in person at the Two Mile Bay Sailing Club up until 9am Saturday 7 June 2025.

entry inclusions
Included in your entry is a personalised race bib (if entered before 11:59pm Sunday 25 May 2025), an official gear bag with sponsored goodies, finishers medals for both solo athletes and teams, and medical support and assistance if required.
As an athlete, you will also have access to a dedicated warm-up and recovery zone, and aid stations on course, featuring:
Mobility tools - resistance bands, foam rollers, yoga mats, and spin bikes
Hydration and fuel - a self-serve station with unlimited access to water, PURE electrolytes, Forty Thieves nut butters, fresh fruit, and snacks
Ice baths - ice baths for rapid muscle recovery and inflammation reduction
prizes
We will be awarding prizes for:
Most laps covered - solo (runner and walker, male and female).
Most laps covered - team (runner and walker, male, female, and mixed team, and by team size: 2, 3, 4, 5, 6).
Fastest single lap - runner and walker, male and female.
Age group results will be available to view, but no placings or prizes will be awarded.
Medals for every competitor who completes at least one full lap.
We’ll also have spot prizes throughout the day, celebrating participants with fun, random giveaways to keep energy high!
Photography
Photos will be taken of all athletes throughout the day - on course and at the finish line - by our official photographer. Photos will be available online 48 hours after the event to view and purchase. Link to come.
